(800 gms) : Full Creme Milk
(750 gms) : Sugar
(Pinchful (powdered)) : Cardamom
(Handful) : DryFruits
(2 tbsp) : Pure Ghee

Carrot/Gajar Halwa

The sunshine recipe for winters - Gajar Halwa. Its easy, filling, healthy, super tasty and everyones favorite. Loaded with ghee and nuts, this fiber filled halwa is an addiction on cold days.

Scrape and clean carrots and grate them carefully.

Take a deep pan (non-stick preferable) and add ghee to it. Add grated carrot to warm ghee and cover the pan. Let it cook on low temperature for about 20-30 mins. Give stirr at intervals.

Add milk to cooked carrots and cover the pan. Give frequant stirrs in between.

Once the milk is consumed well, add sugar and mix well. The dissolving sugar would release water so cook halwa on medium heat to evopurate water part.

Once cooked well , turn off flame and add elaychi (cardoman) powder and chopped nuts. Serve gajar halwa hot.

If made in bulk, store in air tight container in freeze. You can reheat halw in microwave or pan again and satisfy your sweet tooth anytime.
