Ingredients

(1 1/2 cup) : All Purpose Flour
(1 1/2 cup) : Whole Wheat Flour
(2 tea spoon) : Active Dry Yeast
(150 ml) : lukewarm milk
(1 table spoon) : Sugar
(2 tbsp) : Olive Oil
(1 cup) : For pizza Sauce: Tomato Puree
(1 tsp) : Oregano
(1 tsp) : Mixed Herbs
(1 tbsp) : 1 tblspn paste of ginger and garlic
(1 tbsp) : Olive Oil
(1 tsp) : kasmiri red chili powder
(To taste) : Salt
(2 cups) : For Basil Pesto Sauce: Basil leaves
(1 tsp) : Chopped garlic
(1 tsp) : Olive Oil
(to taste) : Salt
(Handful) : Coriander Leaves
(1) : Capsicum
(As per your Health and taste) : For Layering: Mozzarella cheese
(For brushing) : Milk
(For brushing) : Butter

STAR PIZZA BREAD WITH BASIL PESTO SAUCE

Today I have tried something new yet healthy dish. Today I have made Pizza Star bread. Whenever we hear about pizza, It comes in our mind that it is a junk food. But today I have made it healthy and wholesome.

I have used home made pizza sauce with loads of fresh tomato and herbs. Also used olive oil which has several health benefits. 

I have also used homemade basil pesto sauce for filling. We all know that basil leaves have great anti inflammatory properties and is full of antioxidants. Also useful to tackle stress and anxiety. In this Basil pesto I have added one capsicum to increase its nutritional value.

Both sauces are homemade and free from preservatives.

It is a baked dish so very less oil is needed. For the bread I have used 1:1 Maida and Atta to increase its nutritional value.

So here is my Healthy Star Pizza Bread with Basil Pesto Sauce.

Add sugar, yeast, warm milk and keep aside for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.

Take flours in a bowl. Add salt, oil and active dry yeast mixture.

Start kneading the dough. It will be very sticky at the beginning but after 10 minutes it will be soft and elastic.

Keep it covered in any warm place for rising for 1 hour.

In the mean time make the sauces. For pizza sauce in a mixer mix tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, sugar, salt and red chili powder to a fine paste.

Heat oil in a pan and add this mixture and cook until it becomes thick. Add mixed herb and oregano. Pizza sauce for spreading is ready.

For basil Pesto add all ingredients in a mixer jar and mix to a fine paste.

Grate cheese. Now punch down the dough and again knead for 5 minutes. Divide into 3 parts.

Roll out each part with rolling pin. Each part will be of same size.

Cover one part with pizza sauce.

Top with cheese.

Now place another part over it and covered with basil pesto and top with cheese.

Now add the last layer. Cut according to the picture.

After cutting roll each part upwards as shown in the above picture.

Preheat the oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.

Brush the bread with milk and butter and bake at 180 C for 25 minutes lower road on.

For the last 5 minutes bake with both rod on for the nice golden color on top.

Brush with butter and enjoy the extremely healthy version of pizza.
