Daal Bati
Dal Baati in a very easy way and quick to prepare than a traditional dal bati recipe

🧺 Ingredients
- Wheat Flour (Fine flour (Roti))1 Cup
- Broken Wheat (Also known as "Bansi Ravo")1/3 Cup
- Pure Ghee (Melted)1 Cup
- Toor Daal1 Cup
- Mung Daal1/3 Cup
- Chana Dal1/3 Cup
- Urad daal1/3 Cup
- To Fry Baatis & Tadka in Daal Oil
- 2 No.s Onions (Finely Chopped)
- Tomatoes (Finely Chopped)3 Nos.
- 4 -5 No.s Green Chillies (Finely Chopped)
- 1 Inch Ginger (Grated)
- To Taste Salt
- 2 Tspn Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 2 Tspn Garam Masala
- 1 tspn Sambhar Masala
- 2 tspn Lemon Juice
- 5 -6 Cloves Garlic (Finely Chopped)
- Coriander Leaves1/2 Cup
- 5 - 6 Nos. Curry Leaves
- 1 bowl Garlic Chutney (To serve with)
- 1 tspn Cumin Seeds
- 1 Tspn Mustard Seeds
👨🍳 Method — step by step
For Baati>>>
In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour and broken wheat. Mix well. Add pinch of baking powder and mix it dry.
Add 4 TBSPN of pure ghee and mix it properly.
Kneed hard dough by adding water. Keep it aside.
Dip all the fried baatis into a bowl full of melted ghee.
Let them be completely soaked into ghee.
For Daal>>>
Wash all three daals in a mixing bowl.
Add them in a pressure cooker add 3 cups of water, pinch of salt, red chilly powder and pressure cook them till three - four whistles.
Let it cool.
For Tadka>>>
In a tadka pan, hit oil.
Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them crackled well.
Add curry leaves, finely chopped garlic, finely chopped chillies.
Add finely chopped onion and let it cook till translucent.
Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook it well.
Season it with all spices.
Let it cook for a while.
Add cooked daal mixture from the cooker and mix it gently.
Add some water to it and adjust the consistency.
Close the lead and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Adjust salt to taste and lastly add lemon juice to it mix it well.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and the daal is ready to be served.
In a serving plate, take ghee soaked baatis.
Serve them with a super hot daal with a good amount of ghee and garlic chutney.
Have it hot.
